If you are a hunting enthusiast you will want to mark your calendar now for the dates of February 17-21. That is when the 2016 NORTHLAND OUTDOORS DULUTH DEER CLASSIC will make its annual appearance at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). As always the show will run in conjunction with the Duluth Boat, Sports, Travel, & RV Show which occupies the entire downstairs portion of the DECC and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. One admission gains access to both of these great shows and makes the combination of the 2 the largest show of its kind in the state of Minnesota. What a great value for you, our valued consumer.

If you have a prized rack be sure to bring it along. The Minnesota Measurers (Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young) will be on hand to measure and score it for free. Just bring the rack to their booth. They will also explain the techniques and procedures they use in the scoring process. To see some of the racks you did not get a chance at visit the "Wall of Shame" and learn more about the sad effects of poaching. Also, be sure to visit the DNR Laser Shooting booth where you will have the opportunity to test your shooting skills and learn valuable information on firearms safety. If you are looking to book a hunting trip this is the place to be. A variety of guides, lodges and resorts from the United States, Canada and a far will be on hand, each eager to tell you the advantages of booking with them. If you are interested in purchasing a firearm or would just like to view the latest in weaponry stop by the massive firearms display. Archery enthusiasts have not been forgotten. A wide assortment of bows and archery accessories will be available . Gun safes will also be on display so that you can safely store all of your weapons.

Throughout the show a variety of hunting seminars will be presented by experts in their fields. Subjects will range from deer preparation to moose hunting. Check the seminar section of this website or consult your show program when you arrive at the show. You are sure to find a seminar that will be of interest and you will leave with new ideas.

Don't miss seeing "Twiggy, the Water Skiing Squirrel". This amazing little creature will astound you as she glides effortlessly around the pool. Twiggy will be performing daily so be sure to check your show program for times on the day you attend.

This year's main stage entertainment (located on the lower level in the arena) will be National TV Stars "The Willis Clan". This multi-talented family of 12 brothers and sisters plus Mom and Dad have entertained millions on their TLC show with their down home style of music and dance. You won't want to miss this opportunity to see them live as they appear daily. Ask anyone who has seen them on TV or when they appeared at the Home Show in April and they will tell you The Willis Clan is well worth seeing.

Also while downstairs have the kids stop by the Main Deli and see "Cherri Merri Muffin". They will receive a free face painting and balloon animal and are sure to walk away smiling. Also be sure to stop by the Trout Tank for the chance to cast a line and reel in "The Big One". This attraction has been a family favorite for decades and the chance to attend has been passed down from generation to generation.
